5th Water Round Table in Wrocław: how to improve flood risk management in Poland?

On March 26, 2025, Wrocław will become the focal point for a crucial discussion on the challenges of flood risk management. Experts will gather at the 5th Water Round Table to explore more effective flood protection solutions. The event will take place at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and will be streamed live online.

5th Water Round Table: key topics

This year’s discussion will focus on three main areas:

• Better forecasting and threat monitoring – What tools can enhance early warning systems and improve flood risk communication?
• Spatial planning and flood risk – How can urban and rural development be adapted to the increasing frequency of floods?
• Coordination and public awareness – How can institutions collaborate more effectively, and how can flood prevention awareness be improved among residents?

Organizers and Patronage

The 5th Water Round Table is organized by Open Eyes Economy (projects of the Foundation for Public Economy and Administration) and the City of Wrocław. The event is co-organized by Wrocław University of Science and Technology and MPWiK Wrocław. It is part of the preparations for the 7th International Congress “City-Water-Quality of Life,” scheduled for October 21-22, 2025.
