Eutrophication, or biogenes untamed

So much has already been written about eutrophication that without getting into the details and scientific nuances, little new can be said about it. However, the downplaying of this problem in an issue of Water Matters devoted to the nitrate program could be read as a serious oversight. And why does eutrophication deserve our attention at all? Because it affects all waters, and the acceleration of this process, which has been observed for at least 60 years, is one of the biggest environmental problems worldwide.
