Flood aid 2024 – ARMA announces new call for applications

Farmers, orchardists, gardeners, beekeepers, and fish breeders whose businesses were affected by last year’s flood can apply for financial support until November 7. In the spring, beneficiaries received compensation totaling PLN 30 million. Under what conditions can you apply for the autumn round of flood aid?

Damage to farms and apiaries

Are you a farmer whose crops, stock of agricultural products, or livestock feed were destroyed by last year’s flood? Or perhaps your farm buildings, machinery, equipment, or animals themselves were damaged? Compensation paid by ARMA will depend on the scale of losses and the aid rates, which range from PLN 400 to PLN 550,000 per hectare of destroyed crops.

In the case of lost stocks, feed, and animals, flood aid will cover 100% of the assessed damages, while for machinery and equipment it will amount to 50%. For farm buildings, compensation cannot exceed PLN 30,000 per structure.

ARMA is also providing special assistance to beekeepers who lost bees, buildings, machinery, or production equipment. To receive support, it is necessary to have an official Damage Assessment Protocol. The aid rates are analogous to those for other agricultural production: up to 100% of damages for bees and their feed, up to 50% for machinery and equipment, and up to PLN 30,000 for each destroyed building.

Flood aid for gardeners and orchardists

In the areas where a state of natural disaster was declared last autumn, there were also nurseries of trees and shrubs, both fruit-bearing and ornamental. Their owners may also apply for support, which will be granted as de minimis aid in agriculture. This means that compensation will be available only to those producers whose total aid will not exceed the limit of EUR 50,000 over a period of three fiscal years.

In this case, the amount of support will be calculated as the product of the damaged cultivation area and the aid rate per hectare: PLN 190,969 for fruit tree nurseries, PLN 45,738 for fruit shrub nurseries, and PLN 132,849 for ornamental tree and shrub nurseries.

Support for entities engaged in fish farming, breeding, or inland fishing

The final part of the autumn round of flood aid is directed to fish breeders and fishers operating in inland waters, ponds, or other aquatic facilities. In this case, support is also provided under the de minimis aid scheme, which in the fisheries and aquaculture sector amounts to EUR 30,000 over the last three years.

Compensation for fish breeders will cover 100% of income losses resulting from flood damage. Entities engaged in inland fishing may apply for aid calculated as the product of the surface area of the fishing district and the rate of PLN 500 per hectare.

Important!
Applications for all the above types of aid can be submitted between October 20 and November 7, 2025, via ARMA’s online platform (PUE ARMA). Flood aid will be granted only to producers and breeders who did not receive support during the spring round.
