Under the operation Modernization of farms, specifically the sub-measure Support for investment in farms, a new area of assistance – F – Green energy on the farm – has been launched. This is part of the Rural Development Program 2014 – 2020.

Aid is granted:

  • For the purchase of equipment for generating electricity from solar energy and for its storage;
  • construction or purchase of elements of technical infrastructure, necessary for the installation of equipment for the generation of electricity from solar energy and storage of this energy;
  • For the purchase of heat pumps.

The production of electricity by the subsidized equipment should be adapted to the amount of electricity consumption on the farm. However, the total power of the equipment must not exceed 50 kilowatts (kW), with single-family residential use not to exceed 10 kW and 20% of the total power of the equipment.

The maximum amount of funding for the purchase of photovoltaic installations with a capacity of up to 50 kW, together with energy storage, smart energy management systems and a heat pump, is 150,000. PLN. The level of support is 50% of eligible costs. The exception is the so-called. young farmers. They can receive an amount of up to 60% of the value of eligible costs.

Farmers who plan to invest in green energy or irrigation on their farms can apply for financial support under the RDP 2014 – 2020 until March 15, 2023. inclusive (the call for applications has been extended).
