From January 25 to February 23, 2024. Farms interested in investing in agricultural biogas plants, solar micro-installations or energy efficiency improvement solutions can apply for support under intervention I.10.2 “On-farm investment in RES and energy efficiency improvements” of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027.
Who can apply for RES investment subsidies?
Funds for investments in RES and energy efficiency improvements can be applied for by registered agricultural producers, who, among other things. 2023. granted a single area payment, or who operate a farm as part of special divisions of agricultural production. It is worth noting that one of the requirements, which is quite important, is also to take an energy efficiency training course no earlier than 24 months prior to the submission of the application, or to undertake to complete such a course no later than the date of application for final payment.
Investment in agricultural biogas plant
In Area A, which supports investments in agricultural biogas plants up to 50 kW, you can apply for assistance for an investment that is related to the farm’s agricultural activities. Support will be provided for activities involving the construction of an agricultural biogas plant (excluding construction work on an existing biogas plant). The maximum amount of aid granted to a beneficiary during the period of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy in Area A is PLN 1.5 million. The funds are granted in the form of reimbursement of part of the eligible costs incurred by the beneficiary, up to 65 percent. The total pool of funds allocated for “On-farm investment in RES and energy efficiency improvement” in Area A, specifically concerning agricultural biogas plants, under the current call is more than PLN 347 million.
Investments in micro-installations producing energy from solar radiation
In Area B, which supports investments in the purchase of micro photovoltaic installations up to 50 kW and solar thermal installations (with additional equipment), you can apply for aid for an investment that is related to the agricultural activity carried out on the farm. Support will be provided for activities involving the purchase of:
- PV micro-installation with electricity storage;
- installations for generating thermal energy from solar radiation;
- energy storage facilities other than electricity storage, if they will be coupled with the equipment referred to in point. 2;
- Heat pumps, if they will be coupled with the equipment referred to in point. 1, energy flow management systems, if they will be coupled with the devices referred to in point. 1-4.
The maximum amount of aid granted to a beneficiary during the period of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy in Area B is 200 thousand. PLN. Support is granted in the form of reimbursement of part of the eligible costs incurred by the beneficiary, up to 65 percent. The total pool of funds allocated for “On-farm investment in RES and energy efficiency improvements” in Area B, which includes investments in solar micro-installations, under the current call is more than PLN 422 million.
Investments for solutions to improve energy efficiency of farm buildings
In Area C, which is about investing in solutions to improve the energy efficiency of farm buildings, you can apply for assistance for an investment that is related to the agricultural activities carried out on the farm. In particular, support will be provided for activities involving:
- Thermal insulation of external walls;
- Roof or ceiling insulation;
- Purchase of skylights;
- Insulating the floors;
- Purchase of windows or exterior doors and entrance gates;
- Purchase of biomass boilers, excluding straw burning boilers;
- The purchase of a heat recovery system;
- Purchase of energy-efficient lighting systems with LED technology;
- Purchase of monitoring and energy management systems.
The maximum amount of aid granted to a beneficiary during the period of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy in Area C is 200 thousand. PLN. The aid is granted in the form of reimbursement of part of the eligible costs incurred by the beneficiary, up to 65 percent. The total pool of funds earmarked for “On-farm investments in RES and energy efficiency improvements” in Area C, which includes investments in solutions to improve the energy efficiency of farm buildings, under the current call is more than PLN 422 million.
How do you apply for RES investment assistance?
Detailed information on the current call for RES investments, including, among other things, the selection criteria that determine the order of eligibility, can be found on the website of the Agency for the Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture. Applications for aid can only be submitted electronically via the ARMA’s Electronic Services Platform. The application must be accompanied by the required documents (specified in the form). The date of submission is considered to be the date on which ARMA issues a confirmation of this activity.
