Extension of the deadline for submitting applications for direct payments, transitional national support and for area-based measures under the second pillar of the CAP in NP CAP 2023 – 2027.
The deadline for submitting applications for financial assistance under the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023 – 2027 (CAP SP 2023-2027) has been extended to June 30, 2023 for:
- direct payments;
- transitional domestic support;
- Area measures under the second pillar of the CAP.
Amendments to the proposals can be submitted until July 17, 2023.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also said that the payment application can be submitted later – within 25 calendar days after June 30, that is. Through July 25, 2023. However, in this case a reduction in payment of 1% of the amount due for each working day of delay will be applied.
Support for forestry and woodland investments under the NP CAP 2023 – 2027.
Between June 1 and July 31, 2023. will be able to apply under PS CAP 2023 – 2027 for support for afforestation, afforestation, establishment of agroforestry systems and enhancement of biodiversity of private forests.
This support is in part a continuation of payments that farmers could apply for under the Rural Development Program 2014 – 2020. The changes, which have been implemented since 2023. include. the possibility of establishing agroforestry systems, i.e. a way of using agricultural land where trees or shrubs are integrated with agricultural crops. As part of all forest and tree interventions:
- The limit on the area eligible for support has been increased fivefold;
- payment rates were increased by an average of 60%;
- A five-year bonus was made possible for the maintenance of afforestation occurring on the land as a result of natural succession.
