Chania Lighthouse (Greece)

Built in the late 16th century. by the Venetians, and reconstructed by the Egyptians between 1830 and 1840 is another of the oldest lighthouses in the world. It is a unique landmark in the old port of Chania. This Egyptian-Venetian lighthouse measures 26 meters and its light flashes red every 2.5 seconds. Unfortunately, the tower is closed and thus inaccessible to the public.

Les Éclaireurs lighthouse (Argentina)

Located on the Beagle Channel, it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Ushuaia. Its red and white stone tower has resisted southern storms since 1920. It is an attraction of the fishing village of Peggy’s Cove on the south shore, where it was built in 1915.

Jeddah Lighthouse (Saudi Arabia)

It is the tallest lighthouse in the world and rises to a height of 133 meters. It is a modern architectural masterpiece that serves as an important landmark in the port of Jeddah. Its construction began in 1987 and it was put into operation in 1990.The lighthouse light, located above the observation point, broadcasts 3 flashes every 20 seconds. The range of the light is 46 kilometers.

Tower of Hercules (Spain)

It is the oldest operating lighthouse. It was built in the 1st century. AD. It is located on a peninsula about 2.4 kilometers from the center of A Coruña in northwestern Spain. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and not only provides stunning views from its summit, but is also a testament to the ancient history of navigation.
