In the coming week, the highland system from over Scandinavia will move south and give way to lows traveling from northwestern Europe to Ukraine, bringing slight warming. The forecast also predicts snowfall, and locally glaze. Strong and gusty winds will intensify the feeling of cold and cause blizzards and snowstorms, which may reduce visibility in places.

Minimum temperature from 0°C to -1°Ccoast, -4°C to -6°C in central Poland, to -10°C in the mountains and northeast. Maximum temperatures during the day will range from 3°C on the coast, to about 0°C in central Poland and -5°C in Suwałki and the mountains. Snowfall will occur in the mountains and in the northeastern and eastern parts of the country. In the second half of the day, rain with snow is possible in the northeastern extremities, and freezing rain in the west. Wind northwest and west, moderate, with gusts to strong.

Minimum temperature from 0°C on the coast, -1°C to -3°C in the center, -5°C to -8°C in northeastern Poland, eastern Poland and mountain areas, to -18°C on the peaks of mountains. Maximum temperature from 5°C on the coast, 1-2°C in central Poland, -2°C in eastern and southern Poland, up to -8°C on mountain tops. Weak, intermittent moderate snowfall in central, southern and eastern Poland. In the north, rain and rain with snow, possible freezing precipitation. West and northwest wind moderate and strong to very strong on the Baltic coast and in the mountains.

Tuesday
High cloudiness with overcast. Temperatures range from -2°C on the coast and in central Poland to -7°C in Suwałki and the mountains. Weak snowfall may occur in places, moderate snowfall is possible on the coast. West and southwest wind, strong, weakening to moderate.
Wednesday
High cloudiness with overcast. Temperatures range from 2°C on the coast and in southwestern Poland to -8°C in the eastern extremities. Weak to moderate snow and rain with snow in northern Poland. South and southwest wind, moderate to strong in the Baltic.
Thursday
Cloudy. Temperatures range from 1°C on the coast and southern Poland to -10°C in the northwestern extremities. Moderate and weak snowfall changing to rain in southern Poland. Possible freezing precipitation in the south of the country. West wind, locally variable, weak to moderate.
Hydrological situation in the country
Water levels in the Vistula River basin are arranged over most of the area in the zone of medium and high water, low only locally. Alert status is observed on the Bug River, warning status in places on the Wkra, Liwiec, Pilica, Nida and Krzna. Water levels in the Oder River basin are arranged in the zone of high water, locally medium. Alert status was recorded on the Nysa Klodzka River, the Widawa River, the middle section of the Oder River and the estuary section of the Warta River, while warning status was recorded on the middle section of the Oder River and in the upper parts of the lower part of that river.
The water levels in the basin of the Przymorze and Pregoła rivers are arranged in the zones of medium and high levels, but without exceeding the warning and alarm levels. Ice phenomena are observed on most sections of the rivers. Congestion arose, among other things. On the Pilica River in the Sulejówek area, the Narew River in the Lomza district and the Nysa Klodzka River below the Bardo water gauge.
In the coming week, periodic fluctuations and increases in water levels are forecast due to further development of ice phenomena. IMGW-PIB has issued 3rd degree warnings for the catchment areas of the Obra River, the Mosinski Canal, the Pilica River to the Sulejów Reservoir and the Bug River. Level 2 warnings are in effect, among others. In the catchment areas of the Nysa Klodzka, Pilica, Ner, Liwiec, Wkra, upper Narew or Bug rivers. No drought warnings have been issued.
Threats in the coming week
On Friday, the forecast calls for a storm in the southeastern Baltic and strong winds in the Zulawy. Saturday may bring freezing precipitation causing glaze from northwestern Poland to the center. From Saturday to Tuesday, strong winds will intensify the feeling of cold. There may be a storm in the Baltic Sea. On Wednesday, moderate snowfall on the coast, and on Thursday, freezing rainfall in southern Poland.
