We would like to inform you that from June 14 – 16, 2023 The XII Scientific and Technical Conference “Protection and Reclamation of Waters” will be held in Grudziądz, at Lake Rudnickie. The organizer of this event is the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians Branch in Torun.
The first conference on lake protection and restoration was held 37 years ago. Since then, representatives of science, government, local governments, non-governmental organizations and environmental services responsible for the management and condition of our country’s water resources have been meeting at joint sessions. The experience and scientific achievements of those invited to serve on the Conference’s Scientific Committee are a guarantee of the high level of the papers presented and the traditionally published monograph. The purpose of the Conference is to exchange experiences among participants, to acquire the latest knowledge in methods of assessing the condition and protection of water bodies, and to try to summarize almost forty years of achievements in water reclamation treatments.
In such a rapidly changing world, we face increasing challenges, such as adaptation to climate change, quantitative conservation of water resources, the emergence of invasive species and new types of pollution (light, plastic, among others). The organizers of the event sincerely hope that the expansion of the Conference’s topics will contribute to an even more comprehensive view of water conservation and more effective action in practice.
