Another call for applications for support for “Investments to protect waters from pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin” is launched

As of March 3, 2023. Farmers who rear or raise livestock and plan an investment to protect waters from nitrates will be able to apply for funding under the measure “Investments to protect waters from pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin,” covered by the Rural Development Program 2014 – 2020 (RDP 2014 – 2020). It is worth mentioning that owners of poultry farms over 40,000 cannot apply for support. posts and pigs over 2,000. Stands for pigs weighing more than 30 kg or 750 stands for sows.

In accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development dated December 9, 2022, amending the Regulation on detailed conditions and procedures for granting and disbursing financial assistance for this type of investment, which entered into force on December 20, 2022, the limit of assistance under the above measure increased to 150,000. PLN per farmer and per farm for the entire implementation period of RDP 2014 – 2020. Compared to previous calls, the method of accounting for the construction of a tank for manure, slurry or slabs for storing natural solid fertilizer has also been modified. In these cases, unit rates are to apply. Other investments will be reimbursed under the current rules. The subsidy will be paid at the standard rate of 50%, or 60% of eligible costs if the investment is made by a young farmer.

Agricultural producers can receive funding for investments that will serve to adapt their farms to the requirements set forth in the so-called “farmer’s subsidy”. Nitrate program (“Program of measures to reduce water pollution by nitrates from agricultural sources and prevent further pollution”). These are activities that include the construction, reconstruction or purchase of both liquid manure storage tanks and solid manure storage plates, and, in the case of young farmers, silage storage tanks or plates. Support will also be provided for the purchase of new machinery, equipment and slurry tankers with liquid fertilizer applicators.

The call for applications for support for such investments from the RDP 2014 – 2020 will run from March 3 to April 3, 2023. Documents will be submitted to ARMA regional branches or district offices in person or by an authorized person. It will also be possible to send them by registered mail posted at a Polish Post Office facility or submit them via an ePUAP sub-box.

According to information from the ARMA website, so far 225.2 million zlotys have been disbursed to over 3,000 people for investments protecting water from pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin from the RDP 2014 – 2020. farmers.
